Seattle Seahawks RB Shaun Alexander celebrates after scoring
a touchdown on this 2-yard run just minutes into the game. The scoring
drive was setup by Lofa Tatupu's first of three INT's. Alexander, the
Seahawks leading rusher was held to just 65 rushing yds.

Philadelphia Eagles' Stats Of The Week
AJ Feeley became the first Eagles QB to throw 4 INT's in a regular season
game since Randall Cunningham on Oct. 16, 1994, in a 24-13 loss to the
Cowboys at Texas Stadium. This is the first time Eagles QB's have thrown
3 or more INT's in 3 straight games since Weeks 3-5 of the 1968 season, when
King Hill and Jack Concannon did it against the Giants, Cardinals and Cowboys.
Correll Buckhalter's 30-yd TD run was his longest since a 64-yarder against the
Cowboys in 2003. It was the Eagles longest TD run since Westbrook's 62-yarder
in the playoffs against the Saints last season and their longest in the
regular season since Westbrook's 71-yarder against the 49ers in Week 3
last year. Kevin Curtis had six catches for 111 yards giving him career-high
904 yards this season. He had 801 yards in 2005. Maurice Morris's 45-yd TD
run was the longest against the Eagles since Week 10 last year, when Travis
Henry of the Titans had a 70-yarder. The last time the Eagles scored 24 points
in consecutive games and lost both was in October 1958, when they fell to the
49ers, 30-24, and Packers, 38-24. With Buckhalter scoring from 30 yards out
and Westbrook from 29, the Eagles had two different backs with TD runs of at
least 29 yards in the same game for the first time since Oct. 6, 1946, when
Bosh Pritchard had a 68-yarder and Steve Van Buren a 31-yarder in their 49-25
win over the Boston Yanks at Shibe Park. Lastly, Westbrook's 64-yd punt return
was the Eagles longest since his 81-yarder for a TD against the 49ers in 2003.

Seattle Wins Against The Eagles 28-24
Mainly Due To Lofa Tatufu's 3 INT's.
Who is this guy, Lofa Tatupu? How do you even pronounce that name? Tatupu did nothing
spectacular except stand in the passing lane of AJ Feeley and intercepted him three times.
That’s right, three times! He didn’t even have to move to catch two of them. They just
happened to hit him between the numbers. My 11-year old daughter could have caught those
passes. Though, you must ask, what was Feeley looking at? Feeley in his second start (3rd
game this season) looked the part of a college QB trying to compete on the professional
level this afternoon. He completed just 45.2% of his passes, completing 19-of-42 for 220
yards. He threw 1 TD and was intercepted 4 times and had a lowly 30.0 QB rating. You don’t
win many games, turning the ball over the way he did. He looked lost at times. He was sacked
just once all game. He wasn’t constantly pressured either. So how did this all happen? You
can blame the weather, the Seahawks familiarity of the Eagles offense or maybe the fact that
Feeley just isn’t that good. Better get Donovan McNabb back in there next week. Lastly, it
now really looks as though the playoff hunt for this team got thrown in the waste bucket.
In the end, even with all those turnovers and an ineffective offense throughout the game
and the entire second half, the Eagles had one last chance to win this game. With just 1:16
left in the game and the Eagles still trailing 28-24, Brian Westbrook went back for a punt
return after the Eagles defense held Seattle once again. As most of the games this season,
Westbrook was almost half the Eagles offense, pounding out 93 rushing yards on 21 carries
and added another 46 yards on 7 receptions. So Westbrook took the punt, made a few moves
around the Seattle special team defenders and headed towards the endzone along the left
sidelines. He followed his blockers, and if not for a nice play by the special teamers,
they forced the running back out-of-bounds at the Seattle 14-yard line. The Eagles were
all setup to win the game, except Feeley found the wrong man open on that last faithful
pass play. Tatupu intercepted the ball and all Seattle had to do was kneel down a couple
of times. Game. Set. Match!! The Eagles fell to 5-7, while the Seahawks improved to 8-4.
Even early on, the mistakes kept coming as Feeley was intercepted just a minute into the
game and the Seahawks were in business at the Eagles 18-yard line. Seattle made it look
easy as their star running back Shaun Alexander played in his first game in weeks, rushed
for 16 yards on 2nd down and then scored from 2-yards out. The Eagles for the most part,
held Alexander in check, limiting him to only 65 yards on 20 carries. But his backup in
Maurice Morris won the game for Seattle on his45-yard TD run as he broke through the
secondary and outraced both Eagles’ safeties to give the Seahawks a 28-24 lead that they
would hold onto for the win. What kills you is that just 1:26 before; it was a 29-yard run
by Brain Westbrook that finally gave the Eagles their first lead of the game. The TD was
setup by a Trent Cole fumble recovery after the Seahawks wideout Bobby Engram fumbled after
catching a pass. The Eagles had plenty of chances in this game, but always seemed not fast
enough to take advantage. Now it appears that the season may be coming to a close. Next up
are those New York Giants, whose defense tore up the Eagles last time with 12 sacks on
Donovan McNabb. It will be the Eagles “Last Stand” for the Eagles and McNabb before they
face the Dallas Cowboys the following week.
